    Automotive drone filming in Dubai

Automotive films need movement with intent. Open Gate Films plans and flies FPV and cinema-drone sequences for vehicle launches, showroom films and controlled driving work across Dubai and the UAE.

Drones specifically built for automotive and cars chasing

A good automotive flight has a reason for every move: reveal the silhouette, carry speed through a transition, take the viewer through a showroom or hold a precise relationship with the vehicle on the road. We plan the line with the director, DP and safety team before the aircraft comes out.

Depending on the brief, that can mean a small protected FPV drone inside a showroom, a 5-inch FPV chase rig, or a cinema drone for polished exterior plates. The right aircraft is chosen for the shot, the location and the permission - not for spectacle alone.

Dubai and UAE permits are part of the plan

Road, rooftop, resort and public-location filming can involve several stakeholders and aviation approvals. We build permit time into the treatment, coordinate the operational requirements, and keep a clear flight plan for the crew. That avoids a beautiful storyboard meeting an avoidable location day problem.

For controlled vehicle work, safety is designed with the shot: closed route where required, defined exclusions, rehearsals, a spotter plan and an agreed abort route.

    Frequently asked questions

Can FPV fly inside a car showroom?

Yes, with the venue’s approval and a route designed around people, glass, cars and tight spaces. We use the smallest suitable protected aircraft and rehearse before the hero take.

Do you provide permits for automotive filming?

We plan the required drone and filming approvals around the specific emirate, location and flight profile. Timelines and required documents are confirmed before the shoot is locked.

Can you film a moving vehicle?

Yes, where the road, permits and safety controls support it. The technique and aircraft depend on the speed, road geometry, proximity and the final edit.
